Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of food quality and safety
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering teamwork, motivation, and professional growth
  • Lead food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
  • Manage inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients
  • Enforce food safety sanitizing procedures and uphold strict hygiene standards across all kitchen areas
  • Support menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
  • Coordinate with catering teams for banquet events, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service
  • Monitor shift management, assign tasks efficiently, and ensure timely completion of all kitchen duties
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience in food production within a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting
  • Demonstrated supervising experience with a focus on team management and leadership in a culinary environment
  • Strong background in food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling practices
  • Extensive knowledge of kitchen management, inventory control, cost control, and food service management
  • Experience with banquet catering, dietary department procedures, and large-scale event coordination is highly desirable
  • Excellent cooking skills complemented by a solid understanding of menu planning and food presentation techniques
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality management experience preferred; strong leadership qualities essential
