This report is effective 6:00 AM, Saturday, December 7th.

What a difference a year makes! We are due for a good old fashioned winter and we’re off to a good start. Cold snowmaking temperatures, some lake effect snow, and now a nice Alberta Clipper generated some lake effect that dumped over a foot of new snow on both Song and Labrador. COME ON BABY!!

The rest of the report is short and sweet. Song Mountain will be open both Saturday and Sunday, December 7 and 8 from 10:00 am, to 4:30 pm with the Gunshy chairlift serving 2 trails. We are skiing and snowboarding on a 20-30” base with machine groomed packed powder surface. You might even find some fresh powder here and there . Heuga’s Alpine will be open Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.

Labrador will be closed Saturday for snowmaking but will be open Sunday, December 8th from 10 am to 4:30 pm with the Triple Chair serving some nice top to bottom terrain. Of course the Puffin Bird will be open Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. The Lab office will be open Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

As always and especially this time of year, please check back often for updates.

Finally, BEAT THE RUSH. We’re encouraging all season pass holders to try to pick up their passes early. The offices at both mountains will be open at a minimum Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. Stay tuned, and keep praying for snow and cold…

Everyone here at Song and Labrador wishes you and yours a very Merry Chistmas and a Happy New year!

Operating hours at both mountains are posted at “Hours Of Operation 7 Days Out”.
