Since early December the ski report has been really pretty easy and all I had to say was, “Look out your window!” Today I have to alter your perspective, but the results remain unchanged. I know there’s very little snow in your back yard, but the Mountains are still buried and the skiing and riding are still OUTSTANDING!

It’s currently 32 degrees and cloudy. The forecast for Thursday: mostly cloudy skies, morning high in the low 30’s with temperatures falling into the middle teens by dark, snow showers throughout the day, chance of snow 80%, total daytime accumulations a few inches.

And NOW THE GOOD NEWS… New snow and good snowmaking temperatures are expected through this long weekend and well into next week. After this last short warm up, WINTER IS BAAACK 🙂

Song Mountain will open Thursday, January 15th from 10 am to 9 pm with 2 lifts, serving 11+ trails. We are skiing and riding on a 34 to 64” base with a machine groomed, loose granular surface. All Thursday school programs are a go. Heuga’s Alpine is open for your dining pleasure from 11 am to 9 pm.

SO HOW’S THE 2025-26 SEASON SO FAR? The proof is in the pudding and all I can come up with is INCREDIBLE, with some of the best skiing and riding in years! Snowmaking resumes today and more new snow is expected daily well into next week. BOTTOM LINE, WE’RE BACK TO WINTER WITH CONDITIONS SIMPLY SUPERB!

Round up the posse, pack up the SUV, Song and Labrador are the places you want to be.
